Where I've Been Hiding...

You may have been wondering where I have been recently, my sister is over so we have spent a lot of time at the beach.  Here are a few pics, in case you want to join us...






















I do love some beach time and am very naughty not to go more often, although it has been very overcast for the last few days and today it is raining.  I am loving this cooler break but those on their holidays, not so much, so don't tell on me...




We did try to stick it out in that good old British spirit, I just wish I had brought a jumper.  Hehe, memories of childhood holidays in England just came flooding back.

Easter in Mallorca

Easter in Mallorca is taken very seriously and is a much bigger holiday than Christmas.  It all starts on Palm Sunday (the Sunday before Easter Sunday) with parades all week, drums, trumpets, chains being dragged through the street, the works and most of these parades do not finish until past midnight, hehe only in Mallorca huh.







Each brotherhood or church group has its own colours and includes the whole family.  This is the Candle parade which is held on Maundy Thursday.





The re-enactment including chains, leading the procession.





It is a wonderful thing to watch but those hoods freak me out big time. Hehe.  Don't worry plenty of chocolate eggs will be eaten on Monday and all is closed from Thursday until Tuesday.  Easter done in Mallorcan style.




Have fun and try not to eat too many chocolate eggs hehe.  ax

Toast Spring in Mallorca

Whilst looking through the new Toast spring catalogue I noticed that the the Living Town story was photographed in Palma de Mallorca, yep the town where I live.  So I though I would share with you all some professional shots of Palma and some rather nice clothes to.





















This look has my name all over it.















I am looking forward to some of the warmth from these pictures...mummmm, its 17 and sunny today so we are getting there.  Well I am now off to walk round this pretty city and get some chores done, most of the shops still close on a Saturday lunchtime and everything is closed on a Sunday, even some of the café's which always seems strange to me but at least a weekend is not filled with shopping and chores but walks and long lunches.

What I Wore Wednesday Week 12

Well I am back and aiming not to wear my pj's so much with the help of the What I wore Wednesday girls.  I am linking up with The Pleated Poppy, over a hundred other ladies and the odd husband for all the usual fun. I have been dressed quiet a bit this past week but what with me taking the photos and wearing outfits that you have seen one to many times I only have one for you.  I have been busy altering old clothes and making new ones so get ready for new outfits to appear really soon.

The captain popped back last weekend so I made him take a few shots on Sunday before he flew back to the mainland.









The weather has improved here and after all the rain the days have been sunny and so clear.  This was our Sunday walk before the captain left us again.  These pink pants I have had for a few years but the shape was all wrong so I took them in all down the leg and am much happier with the fit now.  I think I will get rid of the turn ups and go for a clean ankle length as I feel that turn ups make my little legs look even shorter.  What do you think?
