Whilst at the hairdressers yesterday I was looking through the celebrity magazines, as you do and these caught my eye. Elle Macpherson on the school run is nothing new but the perfect (in my book) outfit took my breath away, every detail is spot on. The jeans, belt, shirt, jewellery and bag....Oh my I want it all.






All so very right. The 1970's look at it's very best.





And her hair is pretty amazing too, what time do you think she gets up to look like this on the school run?





Nice to see some curve on 'The Body'.





Now I have all the elements of this look as it has been a favourite of mine for a while, so I think I will do an "Inspired By" post of my version.


Hmmm I am rather liking this idea... 'Inspired By' could be a new weekly or monthly feature, what do you think, is it a do?

From Me to You

Meet the beautiful Jamie Beck, of From Me To You.  I have just found this gorgeous photography blog and it is love, this woman has so much style and poise.  Jamie is a photographer living in New York and has been sent to cover New York fashion week for Tumblr along with twenty three other lucky fashion bloggers. 


Her blog covers her wonderful "Inspired by" looks that I have shared below, along with street style and all manor of other beautiful images taken by this very talented young woman.  I am in awe of how well she has emulated the following looks, while keeping them price friendly (Zara, Asos!) and totally modern.  This is no playing dress up, costume look, this is polished style with a hint of eternal classic chic.


I will be takeing a very large leaf out of this ladies book and adding some much needed polish to my everyday.  Here is to a more glamorous life outlook.  What do you think, are you tempted?

Still Fresh in 2011

Hello all and Happy New Year!  Sorry I am a bit late starting this year but I have been a bit poorly so have spent far to much time in my pj's on the sofa.  The fog is clearing now so I am back and I just wanted to kick off the new year with this stunning photo of Audrey wearing the Pantone colour of the year Honeysuckle pink.  This photo was taken by Philippe Halsman in Italy in 1955 for Life magazine and I think it is still so fresh and alive and good incentive to have that pixie haircut you always though about.

She's Got Style - Viviana Volpicella

I have an account over on Pinterest where I can pin any photos from the web that I like and pop them in a file.  In my "People with Style" file I realised I keep pinning the same woman, so I thought I should find out who she is.  Well it is Viviana Volpicella who is the assistant fashion editor over at Vogue Nippon.  So she works in fashion, but Vivi has a look all her own, it is never forced and always looks bright, breezy and comfortable.  Vivi mixes high end designers, vintage and good old high street (Zara).  




















Yellow pops up quite a bit, and it looks amazing, I am loving that jacket.



































Shirts and skirts with an amazing dress here and there.



































Jeans, shirts, blazers and a comfy cardigan are looks we can all do.

































































And my favourite, what a great colour combination!


Well I am inspired to add some colour and try mixing up some old favourites, simple hair and make-up and the magic ingredient a big sunny smile.  How about you, who makes you rethink your wardrobe?
