Spring Craft: I wanted to share this great craft that we made at my daughter's birthday party. We also made them for teacher's end of the year gifts. It's fun and very cute!
Here's what you will need:
pens
green and white felt
floral foam
floral tape
silk leaves
small terracotta flower pot
beads
ribbon
hot glue
paint
buttons
needle and tread (optional)
First take your green felt and trace around the top of your flower pot to make your grass. Cut out your circle and in the center snip an X to make the hole for your pen. With the white felt make petals the shape you like and cut them out. Go ahead and paint the tips of your petals and let them be drying. Now paint your flowerpot and glue your foam inside. Take the pen cap and snip off the plastic long piece and press it down into the foam. Take the green felt and glue it on top of the flowerpot. Place a silk leaf on your pen holding with your fingers and start wrapping with the floral tape around your pen all the way down. When your petals have dried sew or glue them together placing a button or bead in the center.
Decorate your flower with beads. You can sew or glue them on and then glue your flower to your pen. Make a bow and glue to your flowerpot. Now glue a bead or button to the center of your bow and you are Finished!
The kids had a great time making these. The boys even had fun. They made them for their mom or teacher.
